¶1. Poloff on November 3 shared reftel fact sheet on
recommendations from the Women’s Empowerment Working Session
with the Department of Foreign Affairs Gender and Development
Focal Office Executive Director Marilynn Alarilla and the
National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women Chairperson
Myrna T. Yao. Though no official response was received, the
Government of the Philippines maintains an active program for
women’s empowerment through its National Commission on the
Role of Filipino Women. Post utilizes every available
opportunity, including the use of EAP’s Women’s Issues Fund,
to encourage and support these efforts of GRP and other local
partners.
