ULULATION ON TERRORISM - NELSON D. LAVINA - Ambassador (Ret.)
It has been announced that the Philippines, as a member of the UN
Security Council, is elected Chairman of a Special Committee against
Terrorism. It is proudly claimed that we get that chairmanship partly
because of the country’s unrelenting fight against terrorism.

US DOCTRINE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY - NELSON D. LAVINA - Ambassador (Ret.)
George W. Bush, in his Second Presidential Inauguration, unveiled what
appears to be a new American Doctrine for the 21st century of "Freedom for
the World". Upon hearing this, people around the globe watching the event
smiled or shuddered.

Not In Our Name
As George W. Bush is inaugurated for a second term, let it not be said
that
people in the United States silently acquiesced in the face of this
shameful
coronation of war, greed, and intolerance. He does not speak for us. He
does not represent us. He does not act in our name.
